Closer

Another grab-and-go exercise in making something during the lockdown. I noticed the condensation on my son’s bedroom window. This was the day after the bug on the porch image (I think). I used the extension tubes this time.

I can say that window pane has not been cleaned since we moved into this house. It used to be my office and the curtains were never open. I’m paying for that in parts of these images. The first image is without the tube, the second is with the full tube.

With the benefit of the shorter minimum focal distance afforded by the extension tubes, I re-centered on the area of smaller drops you can see in that column on the left side of the image above. Nether of these images have been cropped.

There is some distortion but I’m not sure if that’s the lens, the angle of incidence (it was a wobbly tripod with all that weight) or what.

Sophie thought these were lizard scales when she walked in on me editing.
