Hey, that's nice! — John Skees Photography

One image and one series were selected for honorable mention in the 2nd Annual Minimalist Photography Awards. You should visit the winners gallery. I’m a big fan of the overall winner, as well as the top three in aerial, also portrait is amazing. They also gave me this cool logo that I can put on my website.

The first image here was made during our second month of lockdown while I was out on a bike ride. The image of the bridge was included in the Texas Photographic Society International Competition last year. The others have placed at ATPI contests over the years. Is this how you build a body of work? Or do people just like black and white drone photos?

I made this over a park in Houston while visiting family. If we ever drive anywhere we bring the drone. As our family grows and space in the car shrinks, at least I have something to justify bringing the thing.
