Blues, Yellows, Greens, Reds

I’ve been putting this one off. It’s the middle of April and this all took place back in February. This is really so I can scratch it out in my notebook. This was the second Winter Conference I have attended since I left teaching. It’s the first time I didn’t know any of the students.

It didn’t feel right.

For some reason color has been really standing out to me. (Now that I think about it, this is the first time I hadn’t shot anything intended as black and white at one of these events.) There was a guy doing demos of some LED lighting product the first night (and that’s like hitting you over the head with it) but color kept coming up.

The first time I ever attended one of these I was just a chaperone. The second time I was the guy who drove the van for another teacher’s kids. I learn so much every time I go. This is a solid group of people and it is such a pleasure to work with them.

I had a drone class, portfolio reviews (which was a lot of fun), a studio lighting class (that I don’t think went very well) and an environmental portrait class (which was also a lot of fun.)

I had about 15 minutes to fly. I’ve wanted to get the shadow of that statue but there were people trying to work next to it and I didn’t want to be a distraction. I had no idea solar panels were so extensive.
