Not Impressed
This is me failing to impress my daughter with a photograph of the bug she spotted on our porch, one of several grab-and-go shoots while we have been stuck inside. I think this was the second or third week of stay-at-home.
I don’t own a real macro lens. This was shot on a full-frame cannon with a reversed vintage Nikon 50mm 1.4 using an off-camera YN600EX-RT. I could only spend about 5 minutes outside. (We still have work.)
I normally use this lens on a mirrorless camera with an adaptor. Since I was using a reverse-ring and being in a hurry, I left the adaptor attached forgetting that it’s mechanism can overside the aperture control on the lens itself. So I didn’t get the depth of field that I wanted.
This is the face she made when I said “don’t you think that looks cool!”
